1. Who we are

Azura Padel Club (the "App") is a community service dedicated to padel: player profiles, ELO ranking, match organisation and validation, and messaging. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR.

2. Data we collect

Identity and account data - Username (nickname), and — if you choose to provide them — first name, last name and profile photo. - Email address: required when creating your account and verified with a code. It is used to sign you in (one-time code sent by email) and to recover your account. - Passwordless authentication: your account is protected by your verified email and a recovery phrase (18 words) — no password is ever stored.

Location data - GPS position, used to find nearby clubs and to verify that the players of a match are actually present within a radius of about 500 m around the club where the match is played. - We recommend allowing location "while using the app" only. - Without location enabled, a match cannot be validated.

Content you publish - Profile photo, messages and media exchanged in the messaging feature.

Game and usage data - Match history, ELO score, ranking, trophies.

Technical and device data - Device identifiers, used exclusively for security (limiting the number of devices per account and fighting multiple accounts / ranking fraud).

Payment data - None. The V1 App is entirely free and offers no purchases. We neither collect nor store any banking data.

3. Why we use this data (purposes & GDPR legal bases)

• Providing the service: account creation, matches, ranking, messaging — performance of the contract.
• Club geolocation and player presence verification (~500 m) — consent. Without location, match validation is not possible.
• Security and prevention of fraud / multiple accounts — legitimate interest.
• Moderation of the public parts of your profile (see §4) — legitimate interest.

4. Content moderation

• Public profile elements — your username, profile photo and bio are analysed automatically, as they are publicly visible. Inappropriate usernames are blocked at creation; prohibited content (nudity, hate, violence, content involving minors…) is blocked and offending accounts may be suspended.
• Private messaging — exchanged messages are not automatically moderated. Every user can report a message or an account, and block another user; reports are escalated to our moderation team.

5. Data sharing / processors

We do not sell or share any of your personal data. We only ask you to respect the App and the rules of courtesy.

We rely on technical processors strictly necessary to operate the service: - Supabase — database and authentication (hosted in Europe). - Cloudinary — media hosting (photos). - Google Places — club search (through a server-side proxy; no permanent location data is transmitted).

6. Data retention

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. When your account is deleted, your data is erased (except for limited legal retention obligations).

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You can: - Delete your account directly in the app (Settings → Delete my account). - Contact us at contactazurapadelclub@gmail.com for any request. - Lodge a complaint with the CNIL (France) or your local supervisory authority.

8. Account deletion

Deletion is available inside the app: Profile → Settings → Delete my account. It erases your personal data. Deletion requires your recovery phrase (proof that the account is really yours).

9. Minors

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and hosted in Europe. Access is protected by database-level security rules (RLS).

11. Changes

This policy may evolve; the update date at the top of the page prevails.
